Rochard Heart Limoges Box with Lily of the Valley and My Love Jewel

Delicate lily of the valley blooms across this heart, joined by a jewel marked My Love. Rochard made the piece in porcelain, and its flowers were brushed on by hand in Limoges, France.

May Bells and a Promise

Lily of the valley stands for the return of happiness, which is why the French give sprigs of it on the first of May. Paired with a heart and a My Love jewel, the symbolism turns romantic. The tiny white bells are painted by hand, one at a time.

The Language of Flowers

Victorians used flowers to send silent messages, and lily of the valley meant sweetness and humility. That makes this heart a lovely choice for a bride, whose bouquet may well include the same flower, or for a May birthday. It also looks graceful on a vanity tray, a nightstand or a dressing table, where the little bells and the jewel can be admired up close every day.
