Freedom Tower on an Easel Limoges Box by Rochard

An artist's easel holds a view of New York's Freedom Tower in this porcelain box from Rochard. The easel and its painted skyline were finished by hand in Limoges, France.

Skyline on the Canvas

One World Trade Center, often called the Freedom Tower, rose over Lower Manhattan as a symbol of resilience and renewal. Rochard sets the landmark on a tiny easel, as if a painter had just finished the scene. The brushwork is done by hand, so each piece shows slight variations.

A Manhattan Memento

Gallery of One

Stand it on a desk, a bookshelf or a mantel as a small framed view of the city. It makes a meaningful keepsake for a New Yorker who moved away, a first responder, a visitor returning from the 9/11 Memorial, or an architect who admires tall buildings. It also makes a thoughtful thank-you for someone who showed you around the city, or a reminder of a first apartment in Manhattan.
